What is Grade 6 Titanium (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn)?

Grade 6 (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn) is a near-alpha titanium alloy stabilized with 5% aluminum and 2.5% tin. It offers an excellent combination of medium strength, oxidation resistance, and creep strength at elevated temperatures up to 480°C (900°F). Its alpha-phase microstructure provides superior weldability and thermal stability compared to alpha-beta alloys.
